LearnEnglish Kids is pleased to announce this year’s OLD POSSUM’s POETRY COMPETITION in partnership with Children’s Poetry Bookshelf and the UK’s National Poetry Society.
The competition is open to everyone between the ages of 7-11, not just British Council students. All the information about the competition can be found here:

This year the competition will be judged by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy and her team of experts. The closing date for entries is October 20th 2009 and entries can be submitted online or by post.
